The United States Embassy supports local development, good governance, and refugee assistance projects, particularly through the Self-Help Fund (SSH). In September 2024, the NGO BERANDI received funding for a project to empower widows and orphans in Niamey 1 (Bobiel and Dar Es Salaam).
